Building Regs / Working Drawings

The Building Regulations set standards for the design and construction of buildings, primarily to ensure the safety and health for people in or around those buildings, but also for energy conservation and access to and about buildings.

Subject to planning approval (if required) further detailed working drawings will be prepared providing technical and construction information to enable the design proposals to be submitted for Building Regulation Approval to the Local Authority.
Building Regulations will take approximately 4 - 6 weeks for approval from submission.

Sometimes structural calculations and design will be necessary for a project, particularly for steelwork, abnormal foundations and non-standard roofs and the services of a structural engineer shall be required.

We can help in appointing a suitable consultant and provide them with information to enable the structural design to be resolved.
